hi i need some new ferts
so i found tropica plant nutrition and tropica plant nutrition+ what is the difference between these 2....

Tropica Master Grow (TMG) otherwise known as... AquaCare Plant Nutrition Liquid otherwise known as.. Tropica AquaCare Nutrition
Contians:
0.79% Potassium [K]
0.39% Magnesium [Mg]
0.04% Manganese [Mn]
1.01% Sulphur
0.07% Iron [Fe]
Traces of: Boron , Copper [Cu], Molybdenum [Mo], Zinc [Zn]

Tropica Master Grow+ otherwise known as.... AquaCare Plant Nutrition+ Liquid, otherwise known as...Tropica Plant Nutrition+
“Contains all essential nutrients needed and also includes Nitrogen N & Phosphorus Pâ€￾. “Contains everything you need to growâ€￾.
1.34% Nitrogen [N]
0.1% Phosphate [P]
1.03% Potassium [K]
0.91% Sulphur
0.04% Magnesium [Mg]
0.07% Iron [Fe]
Traces of: Boron , Copper [Cu], Manganese [Mn], Molybdenum [Mo], Zinc [Zn]

Conclusion:
The '+' has more 'stuff' in it! (Notice the inlusion of the all important 'N' in '+' products...)

plus has nitrogen and phosphate (in addition to the normal).... ordinary just has potassium and trace

therefore
plus = NPK & trace
Normal = K & trace

The summary is if you are dosing N and P already as in EI method or similar you want the normal TPN to use as trace

If you are not dosing N and P and want a sole fertiliser you want the TPN+

thanks guys im gonna order some tpn+ tonight and also does any one kno what happens if i dont cover tropica aquacare substrate with a layer or gravel

Usually, when a manufacterer suggests this, it is to weigh the substrate down somewhat. Otherwise things can get messy. Also stops the fish disturbing it causing further mess.
