Did a little drawing...

Tonight my homework for my Creative Writing class was to find what we thought was a poem, and bring it into class tomorrow. It didn't have to be written, so I used creative license and decided to draw my poem. Anyways, if you're interested, to me this represents a poem because it conveys ideas and feelings - I see/feel strength, power, grace, beauty, etc. Hope you guys like it. I'm not too sure if I like it or not, but I'm a crazy perfectionist with my drawings.

Beautiful drawing! And the poem is wonderful. I feel the same way when I see a horse, whether it be the real thing or a drawing.

I love drawing horses...one of my favorite things to draw. Unfortunately, I always screw up on the hooves and have to redraw them like 800 times. )

Arashi - Let's see one girl!! Everyone has such a different style of drawing horses, I'd love to see one of yours. I'll bet they are awesome. About the hooves? Well, let's just say... there is only one hoof showing in that picture, and for a reason.

Awesome drawing the shading really captured the horse's "movemen" on the page, the back right leg looks a little wrong though

Are you one of these people who draws what they see....I have a friend who draws birds and stuff...she tells to draw what I see and it will look good....so I do...and lets just say that birds can look like strange creatures when seen through my eyes

Thanks Chook. To tell you the truth, I can't draw a straight line either. So that's not saying much.

Edit: From the stifle to the hock might be a bit long, but I don't know what else.

I totally agree! Rulers are very complicated mechanisms! I find it VERY hard to draw a sraight line using a ruler! I'm not being sarcastic either... )

WONDERFUL picture. Can't draw horses very well. I have only ever done one half decent picture. Will try to post it if possible...
