Went to the LFS today to ask about the dwarf angels. Wasn't really intending to buy anything but this beautiful urchin can not be passed up. I have thought about it since posting my sea urchin request and they are my best option. The tank is healthy, patches of coralline appearing on the back now though none are purple as of yet. White and sort of a greeny colour spots, looks just like the plaques on the rocks though. He is motoring around the tank in sea urchin style. Pictures will follow when he is more settled in.
The frogspawn has been slowly decaying over the last couple of days. It is just so delicate, that tiny fissure in the tissue has lead to one head dying and possibly a second whose tissue was continuous with the dead one.The second independent head was looking ok but securing the base to the live rock I saw parts of its tentacles floating off towards the filter. Certainly not a good look for a 'healthy' coral; it is so annoying that a beautiful coral is simple digesting itself in front of my eyes and I have no means of stopping it! Everything is still tightly crossed and a multitude of prays to the gods are going out soon.

Regards

While beautiful I have not seen any of this beauty in the last few days; the urchin is hiding. I am not sure if it is actually alive. I figured that it must be since it hasn't dropped any spines yet. Is that 'figuring' logical ?? I am trying to convince myself.
e other head on the frogspawn is DEAD too; DAMN  a beautiful coral gone and with it £50 of money that I can't really afford!!! My hammer coral though is clearly very healthy touch wood (touches head) :hyper: and growing more tentacles by the look of the sprouts at the side. Every day it opens up fully and braves the very mild water current. GSP is opening a little more as well now. Mostly success in the tank so shouldn't complain.
The most pertinent thing which I am watching is the urchin; SH says his moves around the tank and is very active. Mine... well still waiting to see it move; that dark overhang at the back of the tank must be really comfortable?!! Well we hope and pray

Regards
