We now have permission to award a special banner to the POTM winners to place under his/her name.

Any suggestions, designs or Ideas?.... Show us your creativity... For instance... a winners' wreath surrounding the photo of the winning pet or something to that effect?

I have spent the past 2 hours trying to create a banner for the POTM winner on a site I googled, and now, with my limited computer experience, I managed to e-mail it to myself from where I copied & pasted it to microsoft word, where it is currently resting.

Is there anyone who knows how to either create a banner (to go below the Avatar of the winner), or tell me how do I get that one to this here topic to just use as a sample?

Maybe if I copy & paste to my pictures and then move it accross to Photobucket and from there I can upload it here???... I'm sure there must be an easier way?

copy and then paste it into paint, then shrink the canvas to the size of the image, then upload to photobucket and post it on here.

Nope!... this is not working... In the design, I placed a pic (of my Meghan - as sample only) as background but that all gets lost in the transfers...

Who knows of a good user friendly banner design link that caters for computer stupid old men.... Or can someone design us a couple of samples??

Hi Ludwig

Fifefish has designed a banner on a thread in the suggestions forums - thread is 'business card' - I have been a bit cheeky and asked if s/he would give you some ideas/help

If you look at post #7 here you will see what we are looking for. In BigFairy's info box you can see the little tag. This is actually the graphis from our Tank Of The Month banner reduced down. If we could have a banner sized graphic to accompany the monthly winner's picture that would work. I could always reduce that down.

With our latest forum upgrade I can lock a particular skin to a forum, this means choosing one skin for the Household Pets section. That skin will have the POTM banner, with the recent winner.

I can look into having a skin choice, as for the rest of the forum, with the POTM banner in the Household Pets section. The ability to lock a certain skin to a section is new for this upgrade, I don't know if that can be expanded to allow a skin selection.

If a selection is not possible I am considering doing a poll in this section for the skin that gets locked to this forum, to me that is the most fair way of doing this.

heres an idea

This looks great, but I dunno if you know the circular design (roaring lion) at the start of all Metro Goldwyn Myer movies....

Would a similar design be possible with the pick of the winning pet surrounded by the winners wreath and the banner below stating POTM winner + date??

Yes!... this is the idea, but it has to fit in below the name (like where you have your "TFF Mod team" thingy.... Thanks. (see post No.7 in the link in Tolak's reply)

Something like this Ludwig!

Thanks Colin, that looks great and is exactly what I had in mind... If, however the picture in the centre is fixed, (not interchangable with a pic of the actual winning pet) then I will consider to issue such standard Avatar "Medallion" to all future POTM winners, (as is) which will at least indicate that you were a winner. (The winning pics are pinned in the topic "previous winners") - forever.

It will also be great if somehow, it is possible to state the month and year in there somewhere, e.g. a rectangular bar below the rounded wreath.

Thanks again,

Ludwig.

I would keep the medal/award uniform and not go changing or personalizing the graphic to suit each and every individual pet.
I have however included the Date text you required.

You can let me know if this fits your remit.
