Well, Mr. Turtle finally came out from his long winter sleep!!! Now that it's warmer he sleeps in the dog house at night instead of his burrow.

great tortoise!!! how do you keep him? in an enclosure, or does he roam around your back garden?

Ya want more info... I live too far north (as the ground is still frozen here). but I am interested...

If he just digs a hole in your yard... how does he not leave your yard?

He used to roam the front yard but once we got a picket fence he tried to escape, hence the scratches on his shell. Now he has His own pen with rocks and grass and sand. Sometimes the dogs let him out though... they break through his fence lol. The enclosure is about 15 feet long. Now he sleeps in the dog house because it's warmer outside but he does have a huge burrow under our porch. It's like 4 feet under.
