Deleting Own Posts

One good reason - spelling mistakes ;)
(tongue in cheek)

I know, but it's just as easy to completely erase the post as it is to fix spelling errors. :p I have no idea why I'm even debating this point actually. I almost never have a reason to delete posts to begin with.

The simple answer to the original question of why cant you delete your own posts, It isnt a feature of this software. I think phpBB offers it, but William is using Invision (I think, unsure of the version no. though).

As I've said twice.. I'm talking about posts.. not topics.

and ijay you are a troll... find something else to do.

thanks fellow troll.
see you later mate!

sorry for the name calling people.
can't help it.

Right this is where it stops.
If you want to delete your posts, go and find another forum which allows you to do it, or like other people have said, just edit them and add a smiley or something.

I use another IPB forum and deleting is possible ;)

I also think that editing of topics should be allowed for upto say 10 or 15 mins to correct typo's/spelling mistakes.

There are too many immature people on here, to allow too much control like deleting posts.

Anyway, if members could delete topics, you'd remove half the fun the mods have deleting and locking them

Arfie

I offered them advice, then I read in another topic they decided to make a stupid comment to me, so I decided not to give them advice... it's as simple as that..

but instead of deleting it and avoiding a problem, I had to edit it.. then a troll like you has to make a big deal out of it.

This whole problem could have been avoided.

This whole problem is nothing that you couldn't have avoided by not worrying that someone on an internet forum didn't take your advice.
I mean, you could have deleted your comments in the previous topic you started about giving bad advice, and not had it taken out of proportion and then locked, but you didn't. You have to accept the consequences of your actions and get on with it.

this is the type of guy who complains about people not listening but he won't listen himself.

:shout:

are we done here? I'm locking this up (ooh, more fun for me, huh Arfie?) If the OP can present a reasonable reason as to why it should be re-opened, please PM a mod.
