Hi,

I posted to help ID the new plec I bought last week, which was great and clarified that it was marked up wrongly.

BUT I'm a little worried about it. The tank contain monapi wood and some river pebbles and stones.
I dont know what he is eating though, as I've read they need a lot of greens, he is a regualr poop machine which is all over the tank so having to do daily vaccuuming. Although he is producing SO much waste he doesnt appear to be eating, I've tried cucumber, algae wafers, sinking catfish pellets, catfish tablets and also wafers designed for plecs as they contain wood, but it doesnt seem interested.

Since being in the tank he has kept the darker colourations, I know its only been a week, but I'd never has a plec not feed, even my shy bulldog comes out for food.

If he is pooping, he is eating. Probably algae that you cannot see. If he stops pooping or you get worried about his appearance, then there is something wrong. My bristlenose took about 10 days till I saw her eating, I havn't seen my queen arabesque feed at all, but she definately poops.
