One of my X-Ray's has suddenly experienced some changes in its face... The nose area looks like it has been pushed in so its bottom jaw is now sticking out. It can eat, however it has now been subject to bullying by the other X-Rays (it has small wounds on its body).

A week ago on monday we had a sharp increase in temperature, could this be what has caused it?

Can you get any pics of the X-ray  ? Does its face or gills look red/inflamed or eroded or have slimey or cotton-like growths at all? How is its breathing- is it breathing more rapidly or slowly than the other X-rays?

Thanks, I will try, I did attempt to get a picture of it, although it's a quick mover!

The face looks fine in terms of the gills, it's just that its nose looks pushed in so its bottom jaw sticks out. Nothing wrong with the gills at all. It has a few sores on its body, although no fungus present.

I will check again today though, I've been keeping an eye on both it and my Betta every day.

Edit: I will get my grammer right at some stage!

By any chance are you talking of a X-ray Tetra. I will put a picture of it below.

Yes thanks, that's right it is an X-Ray Tetra.

It's starting to develop fungus and a peppering of black spots. Not only that it's body looks slightly bent out of shape now. I'll try again to get a photo of it.

Update: No matter what I do it's not stopping the patches of fungus slowly taking over it... Yep the fungus has now appeared... :/

I've also noticed the peppering of black spots appearing along it's back are getting worse, and it is starting to breath faster...

My parents think old age... However, I have only had the group for about a year. :-(
