Ok, can't decide, going to be moving my group of C. Sterbai to their final home. At present I have a group of 8, should I get some more or would it look better with 6 of another type, honestly can't decide. Help
More of the same, larger groups of schooling specis looks great and gives the fish a more normal situation, these social catfish would be in groups hundreds or even thousands strong.

ahhh the age old question that has plagued cory huggers for the last 150 years...
whilst the attraction of hasing two contrasting species might be appealing??? I'd do it, be crazy and juss do it dude.. both my tanks has two diff kinds of corys..
I would opt for a different species , i have upped my numbers to around 15 each of several of mine, but doesn't appear to make them stay/shoal together, they usually mingle with each other.
Its nice to have one type, but to have a shoaling group you would need to see hundreds together
Go with what you think...if you fancy another group then go for it.
I have around 10 different types and they're all good fun
Thanks for thoughts, that's all was looking for as really cant decide. In all the years, I have only ever kept the odd two or three corys and never been a huge fan. This is first time I have kept a bigger group and totally sold on them, as others have said it really does transform their personalities
