well decied to go back to breeding angels.

so got 5 f3 young angels today will get some pics up soon.

As they are F3 does this mean they will be natural looking angels? Can't beat nature for stunning looks, they are my favourite sort.

can somebody explain this whole f number thing to me please? ive seen people talking about f1 rotkeil sevs now i see f3 angels whats the f number mean please?

ok u have the:
wild fish
then
f1=first generation which is the wild fish fry
then
f2=second generation which is f1's fry
and so on and so on

so the lower generation number ie f1,f2 then the better quality of fish and closer to wild stock

Sounds good! Would love pictures!

Quite possibly they could take care of their eggs like wild Angels. This would probably make rearing the fry a little easier.

ah i get it cheers rocknurworld . so that means that as my blue acara and green sev are both wild they must be f0s

Yep, F0 is the term :good:

I also think that its the case that only one parent has to be a 'F' for their offspring to be labeled as 'F', which may be abit strange if you get what I mean. For example if you have a F1 convict, and you breed it with a 'regular non F store bought fish' their offspring would be classed as F2. Which could be misleading as if I had bought say, a F1 fish I would have hoped both parents would be wild caught to have the healthiest genes possible.

Hopefully someone who knows more about it can clear it up for me.
