Is there any way to dechorinate water without a water treatment?  I'm in a bit of a situation.....

Cheers

Boil it, or leave in strong sunlight for 12 hours.

What sort of a situation? I don't want to offer advice that in the end may just make it worse.

Boil it wont remove the nasty things in the water :p

Just a filter failure, a tank rapidly filling with ammonia and a day working too late to get to the shop after a weekend of finishing the bottle on my other tank!

So really, i want to get cracking on a hefty water change but I don't want to kill everything with chlorine.  More dechlor will arrive when I get home tomorrow, but thats 20 hours away.

Will be fine for that length, Got a air pump or something to move the water?

Should be sorted by the time you get your stuff :p

So just to clarify is the best plan a hefty water change now with air pumps? Or leave it til tomorrow with the air going and do a change when I've got the chemicals to help?

Sorry techen- but boiling does remove chlorine, just google it if you like.

But not chloramine, nor heavy metals.
