Decent Size Pufferfish

Well im still interested in puffers with the amount of reasearch I did, but what would you guys do in my shoes? Look into a different kind of fish like a cichlid?

Which target puffer did you mean for brackish? I have a Tetraodon cochinchinensis (also known as the target puffer) and to me it is certainly a freshwater fish. I'm well aware there may well be another species under the same common name though!
Thanks for catching my mistake Fella. I meant to say "if you went brackish the topaz puffer would be another choice". Excuse me having a blonde day. Of the five species listed as "Target Puffers" I believe Tetraodon leiurus is the only puffer that inhabits slightly brackish water, similar to glassfish. Although it is highly reccomended that Tetraodon leiurus be kept in complete freshwater.

If you'd be interested in a snakehead, why not check out the rainbow wolffish? They're rather attractive smaller fish. They also have a nice distinctive look.

Another problem with feeding puffers feeder fish only on occassion is that a lot of the puffers can be rather picky about what they'll eat. You may find that your puffer won't even look twice at a feeder--or worse, refuse to eat anything else. Since the vast majority of feeder fish are expensive, disease-ridden, and a poor source of nutrition, a puffer which categorically refuses to eat anything else is destined for ill things.
