Decent Routers

I used to use belkin a couple of years ago but after about 6 months it became unreliable and kept disconnecting all the time. I switched to netgear and found them much better - much more stable and reliable.

i ahte belkin kept breaking a bugger to set up and a nuisance! most of the computers failed with its wireless so had to use cables!

bt home hub is what we have now, took 5 mins to set up works 24/7 on every computer in the house i love it! highly recomend it also free calls from the phone after 6 or sumin!

i got a linksys 1 it was like having my hair ripped out trying 2 set it up especially when it claims its easy.
and i cant get it protected either so any1 can get on my wireless.
does any1 with a linksys router know how 2 secure it?

I don't know how to secure it but I know it can be done! I don't have one my self but I listed it as the one I use because my Father-in-law uses them and he only buys the best. Believe me he's got all the money he needs to make sure he gets the best too. Anyway his is secured so I know it can be done.

I have a belkin. We currently have to reset the stupid router at least once every other day cuz it freezes.... so stupid...

Netgear for me :good: I had a Buffalo and an Origo one before and they sucked until they broke.

I also have a Livebox from Orange, the wireless signal aint great, but the ability to use it as a print server and the built in voip is a nice addition. Pity it's that ugly I've had to put a brown paper bag over it ;)

lol reminds me of the elephant man when people talk about brown paper bags.
the only problem with my 1 is the wires, its wireless but they certainly give u more than enough from the phone socket 2 the actual wireless box, iv tripped over it at least once

I just picked up an Apple Airport Extreme wireless router, It's nice because I've got my printer and external harddrive hooked into it so I can do everything from my front room including print and backup files. I never have to plug into anything but the wall for power again.

I didn't have to buy any additional gear to setup the Printer and HD wirelessly, well except a 4 port USB 2.0 hub.
