Decent Pc Games

I'm thinking about treating myself to a new game soon. At the moment the only thing I play is TF2, and I play that religiously - such a giggle to play.

Used to be well into CSS and BF2142 and COD4 was alright for a bit. Is there anything thats come out recently thats anywhere near as good as any of those?


(If not, I'll hold on for Left 4 Dead - that should be quality.)

Thats true. I need to look up Left 4 Dead, think thats coming out December sort of time last time I heard anything about it. That game looks superb.

gota go with FarCry2, bit slow for some, but you do get into it. I tried COD5 on the ps3, yuck! perhaps its better on the PC.

I hope you got your eye out for Black Mesa Source coming out sometime this year! I have had the Orange box for about three months now and decided to put off playing episodes 2 & 3 just so I can do the whole lot again when the first is re-released!

Thought I'd give this thread a bump.

Got L4D when it was released (well, I pre-ordered if I'm honest) and its a stunning game. Best played with a group of friends, though thats not an issue with steam friends - makes it pretty easy. Last time I played Valve were still putting some polish on it, but I'm well impressed with it.

COD5 was rubbish. Lots of little things annoyed me about it, but what it boils down to is the developers (can't remember their name) weren't infinity ward - who made COD4. COD6 is in the pipeline though, I'll be interested to see how that pans out.

the best call of duty for me is cod2 on the PC. i have it on the ps2 and its awful but it is amazing on the computer, especially if you play online.
Farcry is always good and so is battlefield 2. cant beat cod2 though, im a pro.
