Nice fish, Dieses!

Here's my long fin black skirt tetra. I've been trying to get one of the five to hover long enough to get a good shot for a long time. I guess they're finally getting used to me with the lens against the glass!

Spouse bet you were trying for DEC 2012

Wow, I have never seen another Rusty Pleco apart from mine. Looking good :good: How big is he / she?

nose to tail about 7-8 inches id say. probably abut 3" when i got him, hes been a slow an steady grower. ive had him probably about a year now.

Can we have a non-cichlid of the month competition, please?

I second the vote! I don't have cichlids and just can't compete. We could have a separate cichlid competition, then the Plain Old Ordinary Fish Competition.

i second that Gavin is a very pretty fishie...and i second the "plain ole boring fish" section. lol
2 votes for Lewis and 0 votes for my tank....hmmmmm getting like X Factor this! :hyper:

well there aren`t many entries for the contest every month. If the mods think that getting a "plain 'ol fish contest" will improve participation then they should try it   . However the fish of the month contest works the better case because in the end why distinguish fish on the grounds of their species. There are so many species we will require that many contests then  .

In the end the better distinct looking fish wins, whatever species it is. It will be fun if you could add..."My Molly Can Sing" ROFL.

Um, yeah, I didn't really post it as a serious suggestion, Crunchie. It was more of a comment that my peacock gobies or Gavin don't stand a chance against those gorgeous cichlids. OK, let's be honest, I'm just incredibly jealous of them!

Seeing as my previous efforts didn't even get a single vote I've changed tactics :shifty:
