Please help.

My Debawi cats have suddenly gone strange. at least 2 are lying on the floor, tying to swim and then falling down again.

Ive got a floating breeding tank and so put the first one I noticed (he was caught up in a plant) in there, but coulndt then find the others. Now at least one other is doing a similar thing.

Its 10pm here in the uk so there isnt much I can do.

Anyone got any ideas ?
PLease help as I dont like seeing any fish distressed

Regards Alex

What size is the main tank? are your ammonia and nitrite levels ok? Heater on? When did you get the debauwis?

Cheers for your quick reply.

It's a 300 litre tank and all levels are ok (ammonia, ph, nitrite, nitrate). The heater is on a thermostat and the temp is 27 degress c. We've had them at least 8 weeks and no probs until now.

We've put new fish in today- rosy barbs and neon rainbowfish, so the lighting has been a bit erratic. Am guessing this is unlikely to effect them??

Could have been the erratic lighting, or they are simply reacting stressfully to the new fish. If all your stats are ok you can only watch and wait. Hope they're ok.

Thanks glolite - I hope you're right.

The others have all perked up and he seems a bit better now. I put him back with his friends as I figured it was better fro a shoaing fish to be with his friends.

He did jump out of the little tank earlier and ended up on the floor. looks like he now has a cut near his eye - poor #29###.

Ill check on him in the morming. Thanks again.
