I'm considering getting some of these. Eutropiellus debauwi
there is too much conflicting info out there,
so anyone have or had them that can tell me
some first hand experiance. (CFC maybe this is one you've kept?)

are they ok in a community?
what size do they reach?
smallest tank they can go in?
as they are a schooling catfish is 6 or more recomended?

I wish every site had the same info, It would make life a lot easier

are they ok in a community? Yes, they may eat very small fish such as newborn livebearer fry but everything else should be safe

what size do they reach? about 3"

smallest tank they can go in? A 30x15x12" would be the smallest i'd go for as they are quite active

as they are a schooling catfish is 6 or more recomended? Yes, the more the merrier.

thanks CFC, somehow I knew that you'd be the only one to respond ;)

I've got 5. Get nipped occasionally by the loaches during the day when they hide, but when they come out at night they zoom up and down the tank. Feed mine on dried bloodworm and tetraprima granules.
