Generally doesn't post a threat yet, but what if some thoughtless human transfers the virus to the cichlid lakes or even into the farms in Florida?

Oh man, this is not good at all! I really hope they figure out a way to stop this, and that it does not spread anywhere else!

That is defintaley not good. The good thing is that they haven't recorded any deaths from it. Maybe the great lakes fish have a natural immunity to maybe that this disease, but one so similar it protects them aswell.
