Hi guys. I am new to the forum and pretty new to fish as well. I have a 33g, fresh water tank that has been up for 3 months now. I purchased 2 plecos about 3 weeks ago. 1 died 3 days ago and the other is dieing as I type.

al seamed well with them. about 1 day before they die, they go to bottum of the tank and just sit there motionless. They will move out of the way if I touch them with the net but will only move a few inches, just enough to get out of the way. 8 hours later they are dead. There is no sign of fin loss or discolouration.....
What do I do?
Please help

2 balla sharks
4 large blue tatras
6 platy
3 gupys
2 bottum feeders

I have a water softener because I have well water. That has salt in it and may have been the cause. Anyone have any ideas on how to neutralize the salt in my tank?

I don't think you can.

I'd start doing some large daily water changes (50 to 75%) with RO or filtered water - I think that's the only way to remove the salt.
