I have just got up this morning to find one of my dalmation mollies dead. I know she was fine when I went to bed at 11pm last night and my water levels are all normal.

Just wondered if anyone has an idea as to what may have happened as I don't want any more fishies dying! I have another dalmation molly, four black widows, two pink tetras, two blue tetras, two cory catfish and two baby chinese algae eaters in the tank.

Any clues??

maybe it was just old age... how long had you had the you had the molly?

Sorry to hear this !

I know this is a few days on now but to add my worth - Had you changed anything recently - New filter / heater / fish / plants ? ? ?

We had a similar problem and it turned out to be a problem with a new combined heater/filter/oxygenator that had been added which caused an imbalance to the tank environment - hence fish dropping like flies !

In our experience dal mollies can be prone to problems due to any sudden change ?

Or like the previous - it could be just one of those things - just a thought

cheers

We haven't changed anything recently so can't be that. We have also lost a CAE since then so we are really unsure as to what is going on???? None of our other fish show any symptoms of having anything wrong.

This is a strange one to be honest.
