Dead Angel Fish

this morning i woke to find an angel fish on its side dead, theres nothing on the outside of the fish and the other two angel fish i have look really healthy, a couple of months ago my plec died similiar situation no marks on him or anything out of the ordinary just found him upside down dead. The tank is 160 litres, all the tests say no ammonia or nitrates so it seems really odd, could it just be sudden death syndrome?

Keeping angels in threes is a bad idea; it's quite likely that the two you have now are pairing up and have killed the other one. It's hard to say what happened to the plec; what kind of plec was it? As some don't do so well in tanks and can starve to death.

As always if you have a dead fish, you should do a large water change (50 or 60%).
