Daytime Lighting Schedule

Ours are:

Freshwater
On 8:00am
Off 12:00pm (ish)
On 2:00pm
Off 10-11:00pm (depending on the tank)

Saltwater
On 10:00am
Off 2:00pm
On 5:00pm
Off 11:00pm
Blue/moon lights are on from 10:00am to 12:00am

The break helps stop the mass of algae.

Mine go on mid-late morning, then off...erm...11pm-1am? One tank has moonlights on a v. low level all night. Reading through previous comments, I'm assuming I should care more about how long lights are on for lol...

On: 9:00AM
Off: 1:30PM

On: 4:00PM
Off: 10:30PM

I have 2 strips come on @ 8am then the next 2 on @ 8.30am so all 4 strips are on
they turn off at 11am & 11.30am
Back on at 5pm & 5.30pm off at 11pm & 11.30pm
the blue cathode (moonlight or mood lighting ) come on at 11.30pm off at 1.30am
Sounds complicated but all on mechanical timers

I would say the fish & plants love it but there are none in at the mo (Cycling)

i havent got a timer on mine i just put mine on at half 7 in the morning
and i usualy turn it off bout half 10 11ish. my plants grow well and it works for me.15 and a half hours i
have mine on.
