dark spots on anubias

hi! there are dark (very dark) green spots on one of my anubias barteri. i tried removing the spots to see if it's green spot algae but it apparently isn't. could anybody tell me what it is? any deficiency or something? thanks in advanced!

sorry for the glare but it has dark spots. i had to snip it off since it was covered with ambulia and i am using a laptop

It looks like black beard algae but its hard to tell. Since you broke the leaf off, can you put it in a shallow container to photograph or just photograph it out of water or put it closer to the front glass?

Thats normal for Annubias in a bright low current tank, Add some floating plants like Water sprite to cut the brightness in the tank down also increasing the water current a bit if possible will help.

thanks for all your help! i do have some floating plants. i have greater duckweed (Spirodela polyrhiza) but it hasn't taken over as i expected it to even if i made a styrofoam barrier dividing the top of the tank into 2 parts, one is the one which has little flow (the plants glide throught the top), and the other side has strong surface agitation. thank you both of you.

Actually, a penguin's leg is not much different from our own. They have a femur, a tibia, a fibula, and (of course) knees. Penguins also actually have much longer legs than they appear too.
