Daphnia?

These are daphnia, right? They just look a lot darker in appearance than I'm used to. Does that mean theyre well fed? Found them swimming about in a pot outside

No those aren't daphnia. Daphnia are much, much smaller.
Those look more like mosquito larva.

Ah yes theres definitely mozzie larvae in there too.
