Danio's Swimming High

I have just stocked the tank so maybe they will settle.

5 of my 6 danio's are staying near the top about 1 cm from it. all the rest in my tank seem fine and the 5 danio's are not gasping and are very active. should i be concerened or am I a new parent worrying about everything

my RTBS and 2 opaline Gouramies and 2 Gibbs and "1" danio seem fine and dandy....

0 Nitrite
about 30ppm NitrAte (Tap is high as standard)
PH is about 7.6

there active just not leaving the top and they have been in for about 3-4 hours now....

That is a little unusual as they tend to hide away more when they are settling into the tank. If your water is fine and they are not gasping for air, then it's probably nothing to worry about.

The breaking on the surface seems to be them darting around. There really active. its a shame as my water line is a little high you hardly see them.... its early days yet. ill monitor them and if it gets stranger ill report back. im sure its just me over reacting....

Like kids. yor first you worry about... but then next you worry less as its more natural.

You're not wrong there! Although I spend most of my time worrying about my kids even though there's no need to half the time!
