Damged Finger Coral?

hi guys, i brought this finger coral today from my lfs, it looks lovely in the shop, but i didnt notice wot was hiding behind it. does this look ok to you?

sorry if this seem a silly question, but im very new to the saltwater side and this is my 1st coral :)

leathers are, to a point, indestructable. you can cut, mince or flay one and it will survive. put it in good flow so a bad rot wont set in and it will sort itself out in no time.

it may also take a while to be happy and display itself properly. They can shrink to a very shrivelled state when moved!
 
That looks like a typical burn type injury from a coral sting - as everyone has said, they are as tough as old boots or Leather :p - just ensure a brisk flow and he will soon be displaying :good:
