Hi,

I have got a 90litre tank with 3 zebra danios, 2 flying fox, 2 dalmaion mollies and one sunset platy.

the tank as been set up for about 2 months now, temp 26c

One of my dalmation mollies has a swolen eye and keeps sinking to the bottom of the tank, he appears to be having difficulty breathing. when he hears me open the tank lid he swims up to the top with the rest of the fish to feed. when he is swimming he looks ok, it just only lasts a minute then he's back on the floor.

I noticed this friday evening, i took him out and put him in a small container of tank water and aquarium salt for a few minutes, he sempt to pick up a bit but he hasn't improved any more. He's back in the tank now, im worried he could spread what ever he has on to my other fish.

Any help appreciated, thankyou x

This sounds like popeye and another bacterial infection, and it's usually caused by poor water quality. What's the parameters (ammonia/nitrite/nitrate/pH/temp)?

Adding salt (1 teaspoon/gallon) will not harm any of those fish and will be very beneficial to the mollies.
