Ok, I keep my bettas in tank with no filters. I have dividers in my 3 gallon so each of 3 bettas have a gallon each and another 1 gallon split for a smaller pair. I have to admit, over the years I've heard a lot of ppl mention the cycling of these tanks, but to this day as ignorant as it may seem on my part (hehehe), I can't figure out how. When you have one of these tanks, 100% water changes should be done fairly regularily, so how could one of these tanks cycle? And if mine aren't cycling, are my bettas at risk?

There's no need to cycle such small tanks, as you are doing 100% water changes anyway :)
 
I agree w/ synirr (she's always right anyway :lol: ) but w/ smaller tanks like 1-3gals I wouldn't cycle because you could do 100% water changes.

I do however have a 2.5 that's cycle and it's nice.
