Nope. Generally speaking, algae is just an eye sore. It serves a purpose in the health of a tank if its there, its just unsightly to most.

Ok that's great info. Had to order some Seachem Flourish as LFS didn't have it (had every other Seachem but not one I wanted). Due tomorrow. Also ordered a API gh/kh kit to be on safe side.

Having no algae in a tank it not a problem.
