im just wondering. my 20gallon, has been setup for about 8 months in brackish. is this going to make my cycle easier when i change it to marine? will it change anything?

It depends... I'm not sure if the bacteria in brackish waters can live in marine water... That will be what it depends on.

No, sorry, it wont make it any easier - you will probably want live rock in your tank and you wont have that in a brackish tank
