cycle a tank with fish

is that really all with a fishless cycle? i will have plants and sand though, is it still the same?

A moderately heavily planted tank can actually help accelerate a cycle. Plants import beneficial bacteria, and also utilise ammonia and nitrates for their metabolism.

I have to jump in and defend Zebra Danios! I think they're really good fish. They're really active and are quite attractive once they get a bit bigger they have nice blue stripes. They're good in a group of about 6, dead interesting to watch.
