Cutest Little Newt.

I have the cutest little newt alive!
Found him at the creek (there's millions of them there!)
He was in the very middle of the creek under a rock,lol.
Brought him home and put him in a GF bowl with plants and a little cave.
He seemed to really like it.
He eventually started eating prepared foods. But loves his little tubifex worms,lol.

But as I was watching him in that small bowl I felt bad. So into the tank he went!

Now he comes out at night and during the day scavenging for food. lol.
He's a real sweetie. Wonder what kind he is?

Tanninsh coloured under two inches. Very slight build. And has little fringy gills.

awww I love newts, they are adorable..them and geckos I used to catch them in my backyard all the time when I was alot younger..but my mom never let me keep them..she said it was mean

Newts are cool, I used to have about 20 of them. There's a pond toward the back of my property in the woods that has tons of orange-spotted newts in the summer.

When I was younger, I use to catch frogs, newts, etc all the time. I'd only keep them for a day or so, then let them go. I thought it was wrong to take them out of there natural environment and stick them in a little aquarium permanetly.

Depending on the type of newt you have, it may need a place to come out of the water.
