has anyone ever successfully cured a fish of a sickness?

i only ask cos i have a 100% failure rate. my current case is my male coral blue dwarf gourami. he's now covered in large white patches and doesn't look too happy about it at all. i went out and bought a hospital tank specially for him and some anti-fungal stuff, and he just keeps getting worse

frankly i don't rate his chances of surviving the weekend... :-(

noop,
people are successful often, diagnosis is the biggest hurtle, you must feel powerless right now but if you keep trying and learning the signs and signals you will have success - I'm sure of it. I'll hope for the best with your current patient, but don't give up - you will effect a change sometime, I'm sure.

Alot of illnesses/disease can get it's start from poor water quality or stress, which is why we should maintain our tanks, make sure we have more than adequate filtration, and to properly stock our tanks.

I agree with jams.alaskan, it is the diagnosis that is the hurdle.

FYI, I only had 10% failure during my whole time with the hobby. No failures the last 5 years.
