Betta fry should go in a 40-50 gallon grow-out tank until the males start getting agressive, at which point you can sex them. They should be separated and placed into individual deli containers. The deli containers should be around 40 oz.

thanks for the info i need to do more research i guess .. i love bettas and tried to breed one time but no luck.. guess that was a good thing....don't really have room for all that anyways think i want to start a new 10gal. don't know what kind of fish yet but i want to do it with sand instead of gravel this time.. maybe i think going to buy the pool sand... and find some rocks down at the san gabrial river and boil them. some drift wood and cycle for a few weeks before i decide on the fish..
