you can spend money on a screwcumber, but why? plant lead does just as well, and is free. everybody, well almost, will have a tea spoon, too. so why spend?

Why Not? most of us live in a free country and they are inexpensive!

i don't believer is said people couldn't buy one. as you say, we live in a free country, so i pointed out that the screwcumber is a unnecessary waste of money, however little. i didn't suggest they didn't work, either. but it works no better, than plant lead/tea spoon or a rubber band and a rock. as such it is in no way "vital", or even advantages to use one.

of course it up to the individual to decide. but it help to know there is no valid reason to use one, except if you want to.

Now calm down raptorex you ventured why buy one all I did was venture why not I did not accuse you of saying they do not work all I said was I have one and it works great.

I now use TIE IRONS, lol, after a stint scaffolding on building site. they are high quality stainless steel, and chopped up make brilliant food weights, and were free. they were laying all over the site. though being HQ SS they take some cutting. i still have a box left, if anybody, close, would like a hand full. you gota cut em yourself though.

i used my algi scaper the one with a spade one side and a prong the other

stabbed it with the prong and dropped it in

fish took a while to go for it a few pecks but nothing great so might just stick with the peas as they love that stuff

found a new way today and the fish are more active with it

just used a spare 6mm hose suction clip stapped the cucumber onto the prongs and then stuck it on the glass

fish like it more as its not on the bottom but at thre normal feeding level
