Hi guys! He is so protective of his babies, evertime I lift the towel he flares at me so I will try to take a few pics when they are free swimming. Right now they are at the 'falling eggs with tails' stage.

Wow--not only is he gorgeous but a good papa as well. We wouldn't want to disturb him any further.

its a small spawn, after removing daddy they have scattered around the tank so it is hard to count....i may just breed another ct pair next week....i have a reno in progress right now so well have to see when i have time

Just a quick update that he started snacking at the end I had 6 baby crownies from this spawn by the time I got him out (there also may have been an egg issue, some eggs never hatched just had tails emerged)...which I combined with a slightly older HM spawn....the CT's eventually ate most of the HM, and tripled their size while on the same diet (well, maybe eating the other fish contributed, yuck) They are doing great, just coloring up nicely and starting to fin out a bit...I'll post a few pics tomorrow They are all variations of marble cambos. Congrats! 6 babies is a nice number, anyway. Nice & manageable!

Poor little HM's... CT's really are fiesty, I'm glad they're growing big and strong on their cannibalistic diet. hehe.
