Crystal Black Shrimp Grading

i got these black shrimp the other day they were sold as good B to bad A grade but i dont know what that is really
i got 4 a-b grade reds and 3 a-b grade blacks and 5 green shrimp for £20

just wondering wether these are def b-a grade

they have solid white stripes with no transparency - unlike my lower grade red ones they have some transparent bits , the black ones have 3 solid white stripes

red ones are hiding in the moss today so cant take their pics little buggers

getting some more pics one got a weird looking stripe on its side thats shaped like a tooth so its not completely down to the belly so wether thats a c grade or something - if i'm speaking crap forgive me i'm confused about this grading thing i just know that the a grades are better than the c grades not really how to tell when they have the solid stripes

CRS and Bee shrimp grades are based on how good the coloured and white stripes are.

From the blured picture i would say they are about A grade but its hard to see.

One question I have is are you keeping the Red and Black shrimp in the same tank? If they are then you won't get many Red babies. Both are the same species but the black gene is dominant so if the red and black shrimp mate the babies will all be black, at least in the first generation

in the 4 tanks i got

red crystals in with red cherrys and amanos
black crystals in with cherrys
blue tigers with red cherrys and amanos
mixed tigers with green dwarf

i'm hoping i've done these right and they wont cross

getting some more pics of black ones when they come out to feed again later its difficult only having 3 in there at the moment but getting 6 more in a couple of weeks

Sounds good to me, you might even be able to get a species like snowball or yellow shrimp to go in with the tigers and greens

They're just another color morph of cherries, so N. heteropoda var. yellow.
