So the dreaded Crypt melt is often talked about when introducing new plants to the tank due to a change in water conditions or emersed to submersed.
Mine are now melting after being planted 3 months ago, they haven't been moved but i have started slowly cutting back on the daily amount of Easycarbo.
Is this change causing the melt? I know they'll come back, just curious to whether this is the reason.

I would say so yeah. Mine has a random melt every now and then but nothing to worry about. I would say it's down to the move and the lower amount of EC you are now dosing.

I INCREASED my over-tank lighting and this triggered a melt recently - fussy plants!

your answer lies in your statement, i bet you didnt increase your micro and macro ferts and co2 levels to match, and increase water changes...

crypts must be one of the single least fussy plants out there, give them a decent substrate and they will be fine, heavy root feeders, much like echinodorus sp.

after the initial melt triggered by the transformation of emersed to submerged growing, crypts shouldnt melt unless something is deficient. are you getting small holes appearing in the leaves? a melt can be controlled by careful pruning.
