I am so excited!! I was just about to give up! I have been working on my 100gal today which is across the room from the breeding tank...I just peeked over at it and I saw him picking up eggs!! I am so excited I can't see straight, it's been 6 years since I had betta fry, I might be a fishy grandma!
I'm so excited! That's awesome Wuv! Yours will be a lot better quality then mine though I'm sure Mom has rays on her tail, but they aren't very impressive, I'm guessing I'll get some veiltails in with them.
My reasoning for this pair is just to get myself back in to practice before my plakats start going. I wanted to refresh my memory before pulling out the big guns so to speak.
Congrats!!! I'm about to attempt another spawn this weekend, the male is in the spawn tank and the female is in her tank next to him while he calms down a bit (he jumped out of the jar I was acclimatizing to the spawn water right into the spawn tank, so he was a bit shocked for a while from the change, Lol). They are red super deltas from HM backgrounds. The male is a perfectly clean red from Phil Lafferty lines and the female has some blue irridescense but very very nice finnage, so I'm hoping for some nice clean fry with good finnage, wish me luck Maybe we'll all have fry about the same age soon
Awesome! Those will be some pretty babies! Heist is being a good daddy so far. The tank is covered, but I took a peek He's just under his nest watching his bazillion eggs. It's so exciting! I keep yelling at my husband, "Don't go in there! Leave him alone!" I'm being very protective )
