Ok, so I have a 55G tank with a female 5 1/2 inch JD on one side of the divider and a full grown male Albino convict (about 5 inches) on the other side. The two are always trying to fight through the divider. Every once in a while I'll let the divider down and let the two swim around together to see if they might pair off on have fry. But, they just seem to just fight and lock lips. So last night my JD layed about 300-500 eggs on one of the rocks. I let the divider down to see what would happen. The JD would turn her side to the convict and shake her body around. All the convict would do was flare his gills at her. Once she stoped doing that they would lock lips and push eachother back and forth. So I just spreated them. What could I do to get these fish to cross breed. Just a little time or sometimes they just don't like eachother. Any advise would be greatly appeciated. Will post pics of the two later today
