Hi guys a little advice needed pleas.
my tank is still at the mo cycling ( none fish ) and has been for a couple of weeks now ..well i have some plants in my tank and my water is still waiting to get rid of its first batch of amonia..... recently i have noticed some very small microscopic looking things all over the front of the glass hundreds of them ,,,to me it looks like i am looking down a microscope at small organisms and they seem to move from 1 point of the glass to another very quick but very small indead almost like tiny tiny transparent things,,,,,anyone know what they are also is there anything you can recomend for getting rid of the tiny little snails that are starting to develope....as i say at the mo i have plants and no fish so any idears please guys ,,,Thanks very much Greg
 
probably algae and plants should NEVER be in the tank when cycling, also a couple of weeks is ok to stop cycling at this point.
 
thanks for that ....but the bit about stop cycling is a bit concerning for me as i put 1 dose of amonia in the tank and its been nearly 2 weeks and it hasnt yet droped down to 0 yet and if i put the fish in while there are no nitrites produced then nitrates surley my fish would die,,,wouldnt the
 
sounds abit like cyclops, miniscule white-ish egg shaped things with tentacles? if so their harmless.
 
thanks very much Wills for your reasurance about cycling i wonderd about the levels and have been given good advice in this forum to do this cycle and have kept it up to the letter and will with your advice def keep going till all level and amonia is being produced and depleted as it should be,,,and thanks for the lettice tip , would never thaught of that Excellent mate ...thanks again.... :cool:
