Hey guys,
im just bouncing off ideas, and not really planning to spawn but iw as just interested.
What if someone wanted to make a small spawn?
I'm talking about under 50 fry.
Some people say go for the biggest spawn you can (which i know IS a good thing) but what about the people who can't afford to keep 100 + fry etc?
So is there anyway to create a small spawn?
Enviroment, time embracing etc?
Any ideas?

My first ever spawn was tiny! But then again i didnt exactly condition the pair well which is why! You could also remove the female before they finished I suppose

You can take the female out early before they finish if you like, or like I plan to do with my next spawn, remove some eggs. I unintentionally made my current spawn smaller by doing less frequent water changes (like 3 times a week)... it caused a large difference in growth rate when they were younger and the smaller fry got eaten by the larger ones.

Thanks for the info guys :)

I'll maybe try a spwan in the future, and since there is a lack of space for 100 jars in my room (family won't let me keep fish anywhere else (except the 40g) I'll take your advice and techniques :)
Thanks again
