Fish Fanatic
I just did a transfer of my previous fish to a larger tank (72g from a 55g) that I cycled with some of the old water and the previous sponge filter.
after a 50% water change my readings looked goodish...
temp 75 F (23.9 C)
pH 7.2
ammonia 0 ppm
nitrite 0 ppm
nitrate 5-10 ppm
however one of my yoyo loaches (the largest fish in the tank) begun breathing fast off and on and then it goes swimming wildly sporadically and then hides.
it seems to swim frantically for a few seconds then it hides under a rock, breathes fast and then stops.
The other smaller yoyo loach is looking fine, and the kuhli loaches are hanging out nicely, and the clown loaches are doing their three in a row aquatic dance.
I have added logs and some stones (and plants) to give them hiding places to keep the stress down).
Is this some loach delirium from the stress of the move? does it sound concerning?
