Crazy Platy!

I had just got home with an Anubias from my LFS and finally got it into my tank...
It had what I thought was just a new leaf, but turned out to be a curled up leaf with something in it!!
About five minutes after it was in the tank, what looked like a leach crawled out...
In about ten more seconds my Six platy went crazy, pecking at it, ripping it to shreds!
Then, it was gone... Is it ok for them to eat stuff like that? Just want to know if I should be worried or not...

i don't know for certain but if they think that it is a meal then it should be ok, i supose they would eat stuff like that in the wild so just keep an eye on them and let us know how it doing

If I had to guess, it sounds like a worm hitched a ride in with the plant.

Oh, I know for a fact it came in with the plant... I just wasn't sure if it was really very good for them to be eating... But since the incident two days ago my Platy have been more active and colourful than normal Maybe I will shell out to get live Bloodworms from my LFS sometime!

Live foods are always better for fish. It's more natural.

hahahah! sorry but that post made me laugh id have loved to see them killing the leach anyway.. if they ate it then they should be ok after all its a type of worm so i suppose its alright..
