So, I went with my friend outto western wyo for a few days and I got snowed in yada yada, so long story short, I got home last night in crazy weather (30mph interstate weather :-( ) and my fishroom door was open :hyper:

For those of you who don't know, my fishroom is outside and it was 16 degrees when I got there  My heater was blaring away, but the fishroom was sitting in the high 50s

I lost three fish, and everyone else was hypothermic, but alive. This morning they were all fine I couldn't even believe it. Even my two week old baby made it.

Bettas are so tough :flex:

It's a good thing they're so tough! The poor things. Any idea how the door came open?

Actually, my husband must not have shut it tight enough and it popped open. My bigeest fear though was that a dog or something would have been in there :hyper: Thankfully everything was in it's place.

I would never have asked him to have fed my fish if I hadn't been snowed in, and he feels really bad about it. I had to describe how to do it on the phone to him and he fed bbs to my adult male platy tank instead of the 2 week betta tank, but oh well, he tried

Your right! Atleast he tried! and i bet he feels better knowing u feel that way! :p

Maybe a rise in temps will induce more bubblenest building? :D

 how awful that must have been to come back and find the door open

Sorry for the guys you lost :-(
