Craynerds Planted Tank Mk.2

Awesome ! :good: And that stand is definitely perfectly suited. Well done :D
Look forward to seeing this develop.

Thats a sweet set up m8, :D my Mrs just said that would look good in our front room.

Thank you.

You have all been very kind with your words. I am also very excited to get this aquarium up and running. I am literally now at the final stage, waiting for my final plant delivery from Birstall. I have been waiting and planning for about 3 months now!!
Hopefully it will arrive this week and i will start the day after.

Regarding the stand: It is all down to Simon from on this forum. We have spoke a lot on msn and I went around to his house last Saturday and we built it, then i took it back home and finished it and made the lighting frame.

For those of you wanting to know how it was done, we took hundreds of pictures and Simon is in the process of writing a "How To" thread. I will let him explain.

I made the light frame and i will post it with Simons How-To when i have finalised it.

Well, i am going to stop speaking now since i have literally nothing left to say. Everything is ready except the plants have just not yet arrived.

My next post will hopefully be the first planted blog.

Thanks for everyone who takes the time to read this, your advice and praise is always welcome!

Chris

looks really cool craynerd! where did you get that tank?!?!? looks awesome! And did your PC lighting come with the mounting thingy or did you DIY?

Looks excellent Chris and nice job on the stand Simon, look forward to the main event!!

PC stands for powercompact lighting i presume.....eeh i think.

ahh good point zig...ohh and thanks for the complement on the stand!

The T5 lighting unit obviously was baught as shown in the picture including the suspension cables. I DIY the chrome frame surrounding the tank from which is suspends.

Mate you little git! Thats a bloody awesome set up! That would look right at home in an ADA showroom :) The only trouble now is that there will be lots of pressure to make the scape look good to match! mostly from me! :)

Sam

Wow!!! looks very ADA!

a rock formation in the middle with lots of moss or riccia, and loads of plants would look cool. Or some really nice bits of bogwood and moss/riccia. Hairgrass could be a nice "carpet"

i seriously cant wait... HURRY UP AND POST PICS!

Edit: What is that clear plastic thing in the tank?

LMAO - that clear plastic thing is a high quality hand blown glass ADA lily pipe :) lol

Chris

Qays i like your idea but i have posted a picture on page 2 of my own idea for the layout.

All the hardware ready.,......hurry up plants!!!!!

Neil was trying to convince me earlier this is the best bit
