I have three red claw crabs in my planted 50 gallon tank with 2 angels,4 mollies, 1 pleco, 4 blue tetras and assorted ctfish. There is a large pice of driftwood that goes up to the top of the tank and a pad so they can get out of the water. I was told that crabs, even freshwater ones, need some kind of iodine for their shells. Is this true, and if so, what do you do about it?? Two have molted all ready. I don't want to add calcium as would harden H2O. I need help!!
