I'm wanting those choices for my 55 gallon, I don't know what to chose, please help me. The tank will be heavily plated, lot of rock work with caves, about a 6.8 pH
Need anyother inforation, feel free to ask

Festivums are usually classed as some of the more placid cichlids, but a few members on here have had really bad experiences of them. One member even reported theirs going for the eyes of their other fish and causing havoc and a fair bit of damage to other fish. So bare this in mind.

Angels will patrol the whole tank but will mainly be happier in the top 2/3 of the tank, and the Bolivians will be happier in the bottom 1/3 so technically it should work. But as with most things to do with fish keeping it is trial and error.

I think I mentioned it in your other thread - I had bad experiences with Festivums (it was me who had the ones that went for the eyes) So I voted Angels - the new Blue Angels are incredible!! Especially the ones with wild markings IMO possibly the only line bred fish that has improved on the natural form - especially for Angels.

As for Apistos vs Bolivians - I went for other Apistos - for me personally there are so many stunning species that Aggazi or Cacatuoides are just a bit boring now... I particualrly like Panduro because the males are stunning and the females are a beautiful fish as well :)

Thanks guys. I never expected Festivums to have a bad temperament. I really like Angels, only thing is that when I mention angels my aunt and my grandmother go "They are going to die, when I kept an angel, it killed everything and then died". But I don't care because I do believe the angel my grandmother is talking about was out in a 29 with tetras and it was a large black bull angel, and the tank was given a waterchange once a month. So, yea. I will decide my final stock tomorrow.
And wills, I have no real access to other apistos, I think my LFS has something like yellow apistos but no name other than that.

This is where online fish shops come into there or own or private sellers... Don't just think because your LFS hasn't got the fish you would like you can't have them. Don't rush into the decision, wait until something you do want comes up for sale around you. :good:

well, im only 15. I doubt i would be able to order fish, but I have been looking into Live Aquaria and couple other online fish suppliers

I would go for Angels and a macmasteri Apisto, as I have had them together and the looked great together!
