not for an extended period of time. 99% of the cases where people have a egg scattering or bubble nesting fish getting fat, they think they are going to have fish babies, even though they didn't do anything to provoke spawning, and they come on here, make a thread about it, and it ends up being internal parasites or constipation.Wouldn't they get fat with eggs though?
I DID happen to put a / there did I not?barbs aren't livebearers. they don't get pregnant. If you have a fattened rosey barb, consider internal parasites or constipation before you think you're gonna have babies.
OH, and by the way, I am not looking forbarbs aren't livebearers. they don't get pregnant. If you have a fattened rosey barb, consider internal parasites or constipation before you think you're gonna have babies.
cool your jets, I wasn't attacking you. My post was simply saying that rosey barbs do not get ultra fat like livebearers and such. I wasn't going all "barbs aren't livebearers, dumb #17#####, try again." It's not going to be easy to find a picture of a barb full of eggs. If you look all the way down this part of the forums, you'll find loads of threads of people with sick barbs who think they're going to have fry. Barbs tend to over eat, and therefore constipation and such is pretty common. It's precaution for me to make sure they don't have a sick fish, as way more often than not, that's the case.Excuse me, but I did not come on here to get attacked. I simply would like to know what a ripe rosy barb looks like, so I do NOT get it mixed up with an internal parasite or constipation!
