Could I Put A Link Up To A Facebook Group

I think it depends on the type of group - -if it is affiliated with a competing fish group then it would be no...
what type of group is it?

what type of group is it?

It's my own group, swad cichlids for talk and swaps and stuff around my local area

In my opinion, I wouldn't until a mod comes by the thread and says it is ok - - that type of group could steer people away from posting to the forum

Why would it though? It is local to him so not exactly like it would draw a big crowd away from this site, especially as it is just for sales/swaps.

People link to ebay, craigslist, gumtree, AC all the time.

I was just trying to err on the side of caution - better than getting warned.

I have a personal website about my frogs - has no commenting/discussion area or swap section etc and I can't have it in my signature because it is against the rules. I was just trying to help the OP

That kind of rule seems daft imo. If it is a specialist website that simply gives someone more info on a particular animal (That isn't really covered in much detail here) then i believe it is worth promoting. :good:
